The Basement Bistro... Early Autumn Days & Hours... (To secure a table, Allow 4 weeks in advance, no same day reservations are accepted or possible.)See "Bistro Happenings" for additional info. Current Days and Hours of operation for The Basement Bistro are serving nightly. Our reservation office will inform you of specific seating times offered each day. Seating times vary based on the many private groups that reserve The Basement Bistro. Two seatings are usually offered. (Dinner nightly July-Sept) The Early Autumn Grand Tasting Menu that the chef offers is a 3 1/2 - 4 Hour affair. He likes to go at a leisurly pace through the many (usually 9-11) courses. Any food allergies or dietary restrictions must be discussed when making the reservation request. The Basement Bistro is a "No Cell Phone Establishment".

Reservation Office Information...:
Tentative Reservations for The Basement Bistro may be made by phone only by calling 518-269-1009. Sorry, Email Reservations or Reservations left on our answering service(518-634-2338) will not be accepted. No same day reservations are accepted. If you would like to make a tentative reservation , you may leave a tentative reservation message at 518-269-1009. Your reservation is not confirmed until you speak with our reservation representative who will contact you with availability & seating times after your requested dates are researched. It's best to have at least several dates that may work for you as the restaurant receieves many more requests than we can accomodate. Tables may be reserved a maximum of up to 4-weeks in advance. When a Reservation is made for a date that is more than 1-week away, you must call the week of the Reservation to confirm. If the Reservation is not confirmed, we will consider the reservation cancelled. Reservation confirmations/cancellations may be left on our Reservation Office Voice mail only at 518-269-1009. The Basement Bistro is a "No Cell Phone Establishment".

From the NYS Thruway: Exit
the New York State Thruway at Exit 21B (Coxsackie). Take a left onto
Route 9W South and travel 2 miles to the second traffic light. At the
light, make a right onto Route 81 West. Take Route 81 for 4.5 miles. At
4.5 miles, County Route 45 will "Y" to the left. (Look for
blue tourist signs for Sagecrest Catering and The Basement Bistro a few
hundred feet before the Route 81/Route 45 intersection with arrows
pointing to Route 45). Bear left onto Route 45 and travel approx. 1/2
mile. Sagecrest Catering and The Basement Bistro will be on the left
(There is a long white fence bordering the road.)
From Windham/Hunter, NY: Take
Route 23 East to Left onto Route 32 North. Take Route 32 through town of
Freehold and continue North on Route 32 to traffic light in Greenville.
At traffic light, make a right onto Route 81 East. Travel approx. 6.5
miles to Sugar Loaf Road on the right. (Sugar Loaf Road is approx. 1/4
mile past the Nightingale Inn). Make a right onto Sugar Loaf Road and
take to end. Make a left onto County Route 45. Sagecrest Catering &
The Basement Bistro are approx. 300' on the right.
From Rip Van Winkle Bridge: Take
Route 23 West to Route 9W North. Take Route 9W North approx. 7 miles to
Coxsackie. At traffic light in Coxsackie, make a left onto Route 81
West. Take Route 81 for 4.5 miles. At 4.5 miles, County Route 45 will
"Y" to the left. (Look for blue tourist signs for Sagecrest
Catering and The Basement Bistro a few hundred feet before the Route
81/Route 45 intersection with arrows pointing to Route 45). Bear left
onto Route 45 and travel approx. 1/2 mile. Sagecrest Catering and The
Basement Bistro will be on the left (There is a long white fence
bordering the road.)
